Compulsively checking emails? Stop! It’s wasting your time! It’s making you less productive! It’s messing up your time management
An email notification pops up on your screen? Research shows that each time we check emails, that session takes 25 minutes. This can be longer if you now get taken away from what you were doing to now dealing with something else. How about switching off email notifications? How about setting aside certain times of the day to check, answer and manage emails. But “what if it’s urgent?” you say, well if it was that urgent maybe you would get a phone call or text message.
